HEALTH – Live at the Biltmore Cabaret
9 Feb 2010
Holy shit, what a show. Health – the four piece experimental noise-rock group out of LA exceeded my expectations last night(FEB 4th) at The Biltmore Cabaret in Vancouver; although I didn’t have time to build expectations considering I only checked out their myspace hours before the show. I was relieved that I got more than my twenty-two dollars worth of entertainment for the evening.

Edward Sharpe & the Magnetic Zeros – VIDEO+FOTOS
11 Dec 2009
Vancouver learned a lesson at Tuesday’s Edward Sharpe and the Magnetic Zeros show. You can’t put off buying tickets when an amazing night of music is lined up at the Biltmore: that place is too damn small. More than a few hearts were broken when the show sold out, and everyone who was there should count themselves lucky.

King Khan + BBQ – Live at The Red Room
26 Nov 2009
How do you spell Rock n’ Roll? After this concert on Monday night I think we gotta start spelling it K-I-N-G-K-H-A-N-&-B-B-Q-S-H-O-W. The dynamic duo from Montreal stormed the stage at Red Room with a minimalistic fervor unmatched since the early days of punk rock. Watching them prance around the stage in ridiculous drag and an acid trippin’ genie outfit, one couldn’t help but feel as if they were witnessing something special. A band like this doesn’t come around very often. If you missed it, don’t worry, we got your ass covered. Above, you’ll find their amazing finale “Baby, Why Don’t You Lie” and after the jump we got another video for you “Tastebuds” plus some crazy-ass photos from the show. (more…)
